2017 Preston GM Raffle

For the 2017-2018 soccer season, Preston GM Langley FC will be conducting a fundraising raffle to support our club. We, in conjunction with our sponsors, teams, and players, will be producing and selling 10,000 raffle tickets, at the price point of $10.00 per ticket. We are extraordinarily grateful to Preston Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac LTD for their ongoing support of our club, and this year’s top prize – the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze.

Our soccer club is firmly dedicated to the development of our players at all ages and levels. Rather than passing the burden of ever-increasing operating costs onto its membership directly, we are hoping to fundraise enough money to support our development programs and player opportunities. Last season’s raffle generated more than $40,000 that was applied directly to our programs and expenses. Our biggest success was the ability to offer FREE soccer for our U4, U5, and U6 teams!

Our goal for the 2017-2018 raffle is to raise $100,000 for our club – with your support, that dream can become a reality!

Pricing Information

Tickets are priced at $10.00 per ticket (Each player will receive a $100 value book, which contains 10 tickets they are expected to sell). We have very exciting prizes! With only 10,000 tickets being generated, this represents strong odds for our ticket supporters. Who knows? You could be the one driving home with that car!

In addition to our prizes, this year we are offering player incentive gifts to our top selling players and teams.

Our top selling team overall will receive an all-expenses paid “jump and pizza” party at Canada’s Largest Trampoline Park – Extreme Air Park, Langley! 3D Dodgeball, Zero-Gravity Basketball, black lights, and the World’s Largest Foam Pit! Then, relax in the party room with pizza, pop, and ice cream cake – you’ve earned this experience, worth $600!

Finally, all team managers who are able to return their ticket books by the Early Bird Deadline will have their name entered in a draw to win a $200 S+L Restaurant Gift Card!
Expectations of Players and Teams:

Every player in our club will receive one $100 value ticket book, that contains 10 tickets that they are responsible to sell. Players must treat these ticket books like cash – it is their responsibility to make sure that it is returned, sold or unsold, to their team manager by the ticket deadline. Teams and players will have approximately 12 weeks to sell their ticket allotment and return the stubs and the proceeds.
Please note: any player who does not return their ticket book, sold or unsold, by the return deadline, will be charged a fee of $100.00 (the cost of the ticket book). While we hope all players are able to sell their portion of tickets, we understand that sometimes, this is not possible. However, if we do not at least receive the ticket books back, this can cause a big expense and headache for the club. So, please take care of your ticket books!

Raffle Timeline and Important Dates:

All tickets will be issued to teams by September 30th, 2017. Once sold, ticket books will be returned to team managers. Team managers may begin returning their teams tickets, all at the same time, on Picture Day. The early bird deadline for ticket return is December 8th. All tickets must be returned no later than December 22nd.

TICKET BOOK DISTRIBUTION DEADLINE: September 30, 2017
EARLY BIRD RETURN DEADLINE: December 8, 2017
FINAL RETURN DEADLINE: December 22, 2017.
DRAW DATE: January 15, 2018 at 6:30pm.
