Langley Four-Year-Old Soccer
Four-Year-Old Soccer Players – This is For You!
One of the most common questions we receive is “what age can children start playing soccer with your club”? Most Langley parents are under the impression that their kids can’t start playing soccer until they reach school-age, but at our club we actually have a specialized program for four-year-old soccer players, both boys and girls! Read on to learn all about it.
The U5 Program at Preston GM Langley FC
Soccer is already the most popular youth team sport in Canada, and preschool-aged children are at a great age to start playing soccer. However, kids that age may not quite be ready for the demands of a proper team environment. That’s why we’ve created a fun and encouraging weekly soccer program just for their four-year old-age group!
The U5 program introduces technical soccer skills through a once-a-week training session led by our staff coaches. These fun and faced past sessions teach all the necessary skills your child needs to become a lifelong soccer player, including dribbling, passing, ball control, and shooting. Instead of repetitive drills, coaches use a series of mini-games and fun activities to keep kids engaged and excited to come back every week. Best of all, during the coldest part of the year this program moves indoors, keeping the youngsters (and parents!) warm.
All kids in this program receive their own club kit, including jersey, shorts, and socks. They also take part in photo day in the fall, and we include them in our spring jamboree as well. The littlest members of our club are treated just like the big kids, and we consider them incredibly vital to the future of soccer in Langley.
How to Register
Parents interested in registering their child for our U5 program can visit this page to register. The season is split into two halves, Sept. to Dec. and Jan. to March, and costs $50 per half for a total of $100 for the full season – this is an incredible value!
