Preston Chevrolet Corvette Show and Drive In Theatre
Dear Friend of Preston Chevrolet,
This Labour Day (Monday September 4th) we are combining two very popular events from times past at our dealership to create a great day to celebrate collector cars, classics, hot rods and street rods of General Motors heritage.
The day will begin with B.C.’s largest Corvette Show from 12:00 noon to 5:00 PM. This 15th annual event often attracts more than 100 of the finest examples of this iconic Chevrolet, from B.C. and the northwestern U.S. Hundreds of people normally come through the Corvette show throughout the afternoon. We will have food trucks, music playing, etc. to create a family friendly atmosphere.
From 5:00 PM to dusk we invite all models of GM vehicles to arrange on our large car lot in old fashioned Drive In Theatre style. Preferential parking will of course be offered to GM brands of classic cars, hot rods and street rods (or Chevy powered!) Between the car show and the movie we will have a live band on site playing music from times past. Come by and meet representatives from our premier local sports teams The Vancouver Stealth, The Langley Rivermen and The Vancouver Giants. Meet some of the players, coaches and mascots. Our very own Preston GM Langley Football Club will be on site with league information and selling raffle tickets on a new Chevy Cruze Hatchback. Buy a ticket – support the kids!
As the other cars arrive and position for the Drive In Theatre more attendees will be attracted by the variety of classic models. We have contracted the services of Fresh Air Cinema to erect a huge inflatable screen and manage the movie showing. At dusk we will enjoy the classic Clint Eastwood western “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” (this was the popular choice).
Be sure to save the date for what we are hoping to be a very enjoyable community event!
Attached are the promotional posters and a few pictures from years past to give you a sense of the scale and flavor of the day.
If you plan to attend the Drive In please pre-register at firstname.lastname@example.org with you name, year and model of GM brand vehicle and number of attendees. We will attempt to hold a place for you.
